Katie James is an alla prima artist who paints in oil.  She paints landscapes, still life, portraits of people and dogs directly from life.  She draws with her paint using vibrant colours, tones and shapes.  She is influenced by Duffy, Sorolla, Matisse and Diebenkorn amongst many others.
